Many of the most tragic tales are buried beneath an impressive career. Lolo Jones, who won the USA as well as the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only achieved this feat because of a lot effort and patience. Jones was born into a family of no mothers and had five children living in the midst of poverty and struggle when she was a kid, endured extremely difficult childhood. Jones's mother travelled frequently and lived in the church basement. Jones was required to relocate to a different school each throughout her high school years due to her nomadic nature. Jones had an interest by the athletic events held during her time at Theodore Roosevelt high school, lived away from her mother in order to pursue her interests. Jones was part of four families during her time in high school in order study together in a single location. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra as well as the winner of Gatorade Track and Field Iowa athlete of the year was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the conclusion of high school. In the first year of college, Jones proved to be one of the greatest hurdlers. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship she was the winner of her 100m hurdles. Jones was also a member of the team who finished second in the 100 meter relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles contest in 2003 as well as 2004. Jones' track career started in 2005 after she completed her education. Then, she began her training for a career in track. In the same year, she took home at the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track competition as well as Heusden.
Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town, South African. She immigrated from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. Brandt was spotted through local casting agents became the main character Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was one of the main stars of this show, working with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Brandt's next show will be in an episode of six in the Walking Dead spinoff in 2024 in the role of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. She is also starring opposite Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated comedy Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Ann Brandt was a South African born in December in 1981. She's a very talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved into Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. She began her career in Auckland as a retailer later being elevated to a manager of IT. Lesley started her career in commercials after several modeling positions. The actress graduated from her acting program in 2008 and continued to study the methods of Meisner. Lesley's very first prominent acting job was in the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on the New Zealand's television drama Shortland Street in the role of a second actor. She also appeared on a Sci-Fi drama called This Is Not My Life based on the anecdotal city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia the hostage. She also appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
